National Farmers Market Week 2018

|| July 31, 2018

Farmers Markets have seen a surge in growth and popularity over the last decade, injecting communities with amazing social, health, and economic opportunities. This upcoming Sunday, August 5, marks the start of National Farmers Market Week which is dedicated to celebrating all that farmers markets do for our communities! We'll be celebrating at the Original Farmers' Market too!

The Original Farmers' Market on August 8 will be a special market where we celebrate all the ways farmers markets impact the Indianapolis community. We will be joined that morning by Indiana Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch to ring in the farmers market day at 9:30 a.m.

We will have an Instagram contest to celebrate National #FarmersMarket week. People may enter by:

-Taking a photo of yourself, a farmer, shopper, puppy, baby, tomato – anyone or anything! – wearing a tattoo.
- Post the photo to Instagram with the hashtag #LoveMyMarket.
- And it's not required for the contest, but you can engage with City Market by tagging us in your photo -- @indycm!

You can find the temporary tattoos at the our Original Farmers' Market info tent starting at tomorrow's market! The entry deadline is September 2, 2018.
