Celebrate Independence Day at City Market

|| June 15, 2018

The Indianapolis City Market is pleased to announce the return of its annual Fourth of July celebration, Party on the Plaza. Now in its fifth year, Party on the Plaza is the City Market’s Independence Day fundraiser benefiting the Indianapolis City Market Corporation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Party on the Plaza is set to take place on Wednesday, July 4, from 7 – 11 p.m., and will feature food, live entertainment, family-friendly games and activities, and the Tomlinson Tap Room beer garden. The event will culminate with the IPL Downtown Freedom Fest fireworks display.

Guests of all ages are welcome to view the fireworks display from one of Indianapolis’ prime downtown vantage points – City Market’s Whistler (West) Plaza.

The City Market will provide games and activities including ping-pong, giant Jenga, sidewalk chalk, cornhole, and more. Spectators are also encouraged to enjoy the newly renovated East Plaza, which will feature a rain garden and bocce ball courts. Food and drink will be available from a select number of merchants, and Tomlinson Tap Room will be on hand with Indiana craft beer and local wines for those 21-and-older. The band Pushing Daisy’s will provide live entertainment.

Party on the Plaza 2018 is sponsored by 260 Market Square, Ice Miller, Denison Parking, DLZ, Gregory & Appel, Krieg DeVault, Shrewsberry, and Downtown Phone Repair.
