Now in its 14th year the Original Farmers' Market is every Wednesday (rain or shine), begins the first Wednesday in May and runs through the last Wednesday in October, 9:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M., approximately 50 Indiana producors selling meats, eggs, cheese, poultry, honey, syrups, plants, produce, fresh-cut flowers, flax seed, baked goods, street foods, and many more products.
Our mission is to connect local farmers to urban dwellers, preserve Indiana farmland and promote local food sourcing and sustainable agriculture.
New this year is the Saturday Original Framers' Market! The Saturday market kicks off May 15th and goes through October. Hours will be 9:30 A.M to 1:00 P.M. So if you can't make it on Wednesday, come see us on Saturday. Or come to both!
Parking is available at street-level metered spaces. Additionally, the gravel lot at the northeast corner of Alabama and Market streets (access the lot from Alabama Street) is a pre-pay of $5.00, but if you spend $5.00 or more at the Original Farmers' Market or the Indianapolis City Market you can get a "Park It Pass" from any vendor. Give the "Park It Pass" to the parking attendant as you are leaving the lot and you will get $4.00 back. That means you can park up to two (2) hours for $1.00. Simply ask any vendor for a "Park It Pass"
